About the Actual Aircraft

The F/A-18C was a carrier-based fighter operated by the U.S. Navy.

Production began in 1979, and the aircraft was upgraded based on the early F/A-18A/B, which had begun deployment. Its first flight was in 1987. It was equipped with two GE F404-GE-402 turbofan engines, capable of generating 7,330 kg of hydraulic power with afterburning. It
boasted a top speed of 1,190 mph and a range of 1,250 miles. Its armament consisted of a single 20mm M61A1 Vulcan cannon, as well as nine hardpoints under the wings and under the fuselage.

The C-model, capable of carrying a variety of missiles, including AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, Maverick air-to-surface missiles, and Harpoon anti-ship missiles, enabled the Hornet to demonstrate its capabilities as a multirole fighter. The aircraft is deployed not only by the U.S. Navy but also by the Marine Corps, including VMFA-312 Checkerboard, which is based at Iwakuni Air Base.

About the Product

This is a 1/144 scale plastic assembly kit of the American F/A-18 Hornet.

It models the single-seat C-type F/A-18. The kit's parts are manufactured by F-Toys.

The Hornet's sharp fuselage shape is realistically reproduced. The finished length is approximately 11cm, and the limited number of parts makes assembly easy and enjoyable.

The kit includes parts for two aircraft and includes three markings. You can choose the one you want to assemble.

Not only the fuselage shape, but also details such as the landing gear are meticulously expressed. The panel lines are also reproduced, resulting in a realistic finish that is not to be missed.

The markings are selected from those of the VMFA-312 Checkerboard, which is based at Iwakuni Air Base in Japan. Markings for the aircraft, featuring the distinctive Ferris camouflage of 2022, are also included.
