Description
The High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (Humvee) lives up to its multipurpose use in modern combat. The vehicles are employed to move cargo and personnel, are armed with TOW missiles and smaller arms, and are configured as field ambulances. Armored versions of the vehicle were introduced after Somalia. The armor is capable of withstanding 7.62mm armor-piercing rounds as well as 155mm artillery airbursts and 12-pound antitank mines. This book takes a detailed look at HMMWV with more than 100 photographs, color profiles and detailed line drawings; 52 pages.
