About the Actual Aircraft

      The CH-53E Super Stallion is a large helicopter developed by Sikorsky in the United States. It
was originally developed as a large transport helicopter, but the MH-53E Sea Dragon, a variation of the original, was developed with a minesweeping system. Its exterior is characterized by large sponsons on both sides of the fuselage, and it has been in service with both the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force since 1990.

About the Product

      This set includes the Platz/Italeri 1/72 MH-53E Sea Dragon, a popular model kit among aircraft modelers, and a separately available photo-etched detail-up parts set.

      The aircraft are available in both a JMSDF kit and a U.S. Navy kit.

      Both are 1/72 scale, and not only are the aircraft's shape realistic, but the interior is also recreated. The included photo-etched parts are available for both the exterior and interior, adding a sharp, realistic finish to the kit.

      The cockpit instrument panel and other parts are pre-printed with color etching for ease of use.

      A detailed instruction manual is also included. While these are available separately, this set includes everything you need for hassle-free assembly.
