Description
The Asashio-class destroyers were fleet destroyers developed from the Special Type destroyers. The lead ship, Asashio, was completed in August 1937 and participated in various operations, including the Third Battle of the Solomon Islands.
The hull is molded as a single piece using slide molding to represent the ship's configuration with external electrical wiring installed after the start of the war, and the kit is based on the latest research and specifications. The package illustration is by Tankuro Kato.
