Description

      Flower class corvette, HMCS Snowberry K166. 3D designed and printed.

      HMCS Snowberry was originally commissioned with the Royal Navy though she was constructed in Canada. She was launched on August 8, 1940 at Lauzon, Quebec and commissioned into the RN on November 26, 1940. She sailed to the UK the following February and was completed in Greenock, Scotland in April 1941. On May 15, 1941, Snowberry was one of ten Flower class corvettes loaned to the Royal Canadian Navy. Snowberry was assigned to convoy escort and anti-submarine duties. On November 20, 1943, Snowberry, along with HMCS Nene and Calgary, depth charged and sank U-536 northeast of the Azores. Postwar, Snowberry was paid off by the RCN and returned to the RN in 1945. The following year she was used as a target ship and in 1947 her remains were sold and scrapped.
