About the aircraft
The A-10 Thunderbolt II is a U.S. military close air support and ground attack aircraft that entered service in 1977. It features twin engines and a straight wing design.
Eleven hardpoints on the underside of the wings and fuselage allow it to carry a 7,260 kg load of bombs, rockets, and missiles. It also features a GAU-8/A Avenger autocannon in the nose, providing superior offensive capabilities. It has continued to be improved since its deployment, and the A-10C, introduced in 2005, features a glass cockpit, a modified A-model.
The 354th Fighter Squadron, based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, is one of the units operating the A-10C, having operated the A-10 since 1979. Nicknamed the Bulldogs, the aircraft is active in missions such as close air support, air interdiction, forward air control, and combat search and rescue.

This is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit of the A-10C, a U.S. ground attack aircraft. It features Italeri parts and a Japanese assembly manual from Platz, ensuring complete enjoyment. With a total length of 33.8cm, the aircraft's distinctive form, with its straight wings and twin engines mounted on its back, is impressively reproduced.
Not only the aircraft shape, but also the panel lines are realistically rendered. Some inspection panels can be assembled open or closed.
The kit also includes masking stickers for easy painting of the canopy frame.
The markings are selected from aircraft of the 354th Fighter Squadron, known as the Bulldogs and based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. The unique mission marking on the right side of the cockpit is reproduced with a decal, making this an eye-catching aircraft.
The decals are of course made by Cartograf, a high-quality manufacturer.
