About the Product
This is a plastic model assembly kit depicting the EA-18G Growler, a U.S. Navy electronic warfare aircraft in service since 2009.
The parts are manufactured by Italeri and are in 1/48 scale. The finished overall length is 381mm. Its striking size and distinctive form are accurately recreated. This kit also includes photo-etched parts for sharpening the details of the aircraft's exterior and cockpit.
There are five photo-etched parts available separately (manufactured by Eduard, Czech Republic). These include the electronic equipment mounted around the landing gear and underside of the wings, as well as pre-printed precision photo-etched parts for the instrument panel and seatbelts. A dedicated masking sheet is also included for convenient painting of the canopy frame.
This makes it easy to paint the canopy precisely, enhancing the finish quality along with the photo-etched parts.
The markings are a reproduction of the color scheme used by U.S. Navy carrier-based aircraft in the 1930s and 1940s, which was added to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the U.S. Navy's aircraft operations in 2011.
The decals are made by high-quality Cartograf.
