About the Actual Aircraft

      The F-117, known as the world's first operational stealth fighter, was deployed and operated by the U.S. Air Force from 1983 to 2008.

      Its unique design, comprised of a complex combination of planforms, included a radar-absorbent coating on its surfaces. It was powered by two F404-GE-F102 turbofan engines. Its exhaust ports were positioned at the top of the fuselage, and its unique design included slots to dissipate radiant heat and diffuse heated air. It was designed and engineered by Skunk Works, known for developing a variety of classic aircraft. This resulted in outstanding stealth capabilities. It made its combat debut in the 1989 invasion of Panama. It later achieved significant success in the 1991 Gulf War, leveraging its stealth capabilities in a nighttime attack on Baghdad defense facilities.

About the Product

      This 1/144 scale plastic assembly kit recreates the F-117, the world's first operational stealth fighter, operated by the U.S. Air Force.

      The finished product measures approximately 140mm in length. The parts are manufactured by Dragon, renowned for their sharp finish, and include parts for two aircraft.

      The unique design of the aircraft is a highlight of the model. The kit is modeled based on the initial image from the materials released at the time.

      Not only does it accurately recreate the exterior, but the cockpit interior also features seating. The landing gear parts are also meticulously modeled.

      The model can be assembled in either flight or parked mode. The set includes markings featuring the Skunk Works logo on the underside of the aircraft, which was responsible for design and development, as well as markings from aircraft that served in the Gulf War.

      The decals are manufactured by Cartograf, an Italian company renowned for their high quality. The unique form is not to be missed, even when compared to other 1/144 scale aircraft.
