Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit. Pit-Road's kit of the Soviet Navy guided missile destroyer Udaloy is back with a full-hull option! The Udaloy-class destoryer is mainly responsible for anti-aircraft defense of the Soviet Navy (now the Russian Navy); 12 ships of this type were commissioned in the 1980s and 1990s. The full drainage amount is 8,500 tons--larger than any western destroyers of the time--and the superstructure is designed to tilt the outer wall of the ship and enhance the stealth properties by using radio-wave-absorbing paint. The Taisenhei instrumentation, RBU6000 short-range anti-submarine rocket, SSN-14 long-range anti-submarine missiles, powerful sonar and Ka27 anti-submarine patrol helicopter were some of its armaments. This kit reproduces the ship's appearance in the mid-1980s after its commission. The full-hull ship bottom and the mast truss are newly molded. Includes one Ka-27 helix anti-submarine patrol helicopter. Includes ship name and number decals for the Udaloy, Krakow, Washilevsky, Zaharov, and Spiridonov. Can be built as either a full-hull or waterline model. Will be about 23.4cm long when completed.
