Description

This is the Classic Warships Publishing P-40 pictorial book.  This groundbreaking Aircraft Pictorial series covers the early "long-nosed" versions of the Army Air Corps' P-40 Warhawk.  Digging through records at the National Archives and the National Air and Space Museum, author Dana Bell has uncovered the never-before-told story of this significant fighter.

This book presents a narrative that refutes much of what has long been accepted as gospel in the P-40's history, revising the narrative on the aircraft's origins and development, and explaining, for the first time in any publication, the significance and development of the mysterious P-40G.

As with previous books in this series, this pictorial also provides extensive detail photos of the long-nosed P-40's systems and many physical modifications.  This book contains 113 black and white, 13 very crisp color photos, as well as five line drawings within the covers of this very well produced 72 page softbound book.  Color photos inserted within the book along with color photos on both sides of the cover are unique to the newest design of this type of book from Classic Warships Publishing.
