We have been working on a new book series for quite a while now... which brings back an old Squadron book series name... "Planes, Names & Dames"

This series of books will feature artwork Piotr Forkasiewicz throughout the entire book. If you have been asking for a Piotr art book... here is your chance! Each book will focus on a certain aircraft, or type of aircraft. The concept artwork shown above is the 5 books in progress, starting with B-24 Liberators, then following up with B-17, B-29, all Fighters and finishing with Light/Medium Bombers. The book will feature images created by Piotr showing aircraft in full page full color in a way perhaps never seen before. You will also find original images of the same plane and some information about each plane. But, the fun doesn't stop there. This book will also serve as a modeler's paint guide to each aircraft featured in the book with side profile images of each... just like you would see in an instruction sheet for a decal set.

So... since part of the book will show basically a paint guide and decal placement instruction.... why stop there? The book will also come with a full decal set featuring every aircraft shown in the book. Yes, this will be a very large decal sheet and will be available in 1/72 and/or 1/48 scale. We will have them designed in 1/32 scale as well and we will see about offering them in that scale as well depending on demand. More information on the decal sheet will come as the project continues.

One cool thing I want to mention is that at the end of the project, after all books are released.... we plan to have a collector's box available that all 5 books will be able to store in (like a box set) that will display very nicely on your bookshelf!
